Exhibition of masks, posters and souvenirs for children with special educational needs raised funds to help graduates of the Subsidiary School “Vasil Drumev”.

On April 26 in Regional Library “Stilian Chilingirov”, Boarding school “Vasil Drumev” - Shumen opened its first ever exhibition entitled "Different but Equal." The event aimed to acquaint the public of our town with the achievements of graduates of the school, give them a chance to express themselves and their skills, and help raise funds to organize the prom for this year's graduates of the school.

Association “Shining Dawn" lend their support to this initiative and helped organize the exhibition and its advertising. Members of the Association worked on its overall vision, helped with the location of the exhibits and prepared a tableau of photos and materials reflecting the success of school during the year, a video, advertising posters and leaflets for the media.

Our partner was Regional Library “Stilian Chilingirov” whose foyer hosted the exhibition of children with special educational needs of the school from 26 April to 20 May. We are pleased that the initiative was joined by the friends of the Association like the bookstore "Pegasus", souvenir store "Blue shop”, coffee club “Iris” and complex “Last Century”, which were also exposed to products and promotional materials for event .

The exhibition presented unique panels, masks and souvenirs made of natural materials presented the school during the year. The articles revealed the talents of the students in the project "Different but equal." This project is part of the European eTwinning program to share experience and support of teachers from across Europe who work with children with special educational needs. Participants from Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Turkey, Belgium, Netherlands and Bulgaria joined the EU on May 5 at the exhibition of Boarding School. Their products were available for charitable purposes in support of graduates of special schools.
 
The amount of 274 BGN raised through the exhibition by Association “Shining Dawn" as the organizer of the event was made available to the Subsidiary School “Vasil Drumev“
